Auras are said to be a radiant light put off by living things such as humans, animals, plants, or anything that emits energy into the air. Auras are typically read in people and vary in colour surrounding the person depending upon many factors such as mood, surrounding and anything else that would affect the vibration of energy being displayed by that person. Aura readings can help a person understand more about their surroundings and themselves, giving them a better opportunity to become in tune with the balance of things and knowledge of awareness.
The reading of auras has been around for centuries. It is believed by some that painted pictures depicting a certain person in a particular time period with a glow about them, or even a halo, was quite possibly the artist viewing that person’s aura. Through various studies, it has been determined that an aura can help us understand the emotions and thought process of those around us. By readings a person’s aura, you are capable of deflecting a lie before it is spoken, determining if you should change your topic of conversation, or perhaps know if you have overstayed your welcome in the presence of your company. This is why aura reading has been stressed over the years as a very important ability to obtain.
Many biblical pictures are believed to depict auras of many saints and prophets. These brightly coloured surroundings were said to be their auras only at the time, people did not know what the aura was. These auras were especially bright during times of prayer which brought peace and happiness to the bearer of said aura. Auras are viewed in a variety of aspects such as physical health, mental state of mind, spirituality, nature, karmic and many other areas as well. Examples of religious pictures which are claimed to depict an aura are those of Christ, Buddha, Moses, Mother Mary, and various other saints, martyrs and prophets.
Although aura reading has been around for so long, it took a long time for anyone to actually put a name to it. There have been many who have studied auras and their meanings. Perhaps one of the most important people in history to have done this was none other than a man known as Dr. Walter J. Kilner, born in 1847. He worked at St. Thomas Hospital in London and provided a book in which he wrote about a special screen made up of a coal-tar dye solution which was used between two sealed pieces of glass. He said that it was possible for anyone to see a person’s aura if they stood behind this screen. These colours formed layers in and around the person’s body. It was a wonderful and scientific discovery towards proving the reality of a person’s aura.
This was an inspiration for Dr. Joseph R. Buchanan. He believed that it was the nerves of a person’s body which displayed their aura. The nerves produced the necessary energy required to radiate such a light. Inevitably, this meant that it was easier to determine how close a person was to death by the radiance of their aura. There is no aura surrounding a dead body as the nerves, emotions and energy have been dispelled. As a person approaches death, this energy begins to wane and those who are able to read a person’s aura can see this surrounding light diminishing from around a person’s body.

Aura reading goes beyond just knowing what each colour represents but an understanding of this is definitely a start. Each colour has a different meaning. Red is said to mean passion and desire. It is the colour of fire and represents a very powerful energy. It can also depict rage and frustration. Yellow signifies the colour of the sun and therefore believed to portray optimism. Orange represents creative abilities in a person but can also portray pride and vanity. Green can show a sense of jealousy, being in tune with nature and healing, and peace. Blue is considered a calm colour. It can also mean sadness and overwhelming depression. Purple is a very spiritual colour. It is another very powerful colour that will often reflect a person’s psychic abilities. Brown represents the colour of earth and represents a person’s level of solitude and practicalities. Black is of course a dark colour and represents a very negative feeling such as hatred. White is another very spiritual colour and portrays a motivated person and divinity which is why many prophets and saints have been depicted with a white aura.
This is just a rough understanding of the variety of colours that auras come in. A professional can depict the type of colour they are seeing such as the difference between a lighter shade of red as compared to a darker, dirtier shade or red. Being able to tell the differences in such colours are very important when performing an aura reading accurately. Varying degrees of shades can also determine the level of feeling a person has in that particular meaning such as devotion. A lighter colour of purple may mean that a person is not quite as devoted as one with a darker shade of purple. A trained professional can determine the difference and help the one receiving the reading to understand what it is that they are feeling and help them understand why.
